I've never skied. Should I train beforehand?
Two weeks of squats, wall sits and planks before your trip will strengthen your legs and core, reducing soreness and the risk of injury.
Can I ski if I'm nearsighted?
Yes. Wear contact lenses, or choose OTG (over-the-glasses) goggles that fit over your regular glasses.
When is the snow best?
In China, conditions are usually most reliable from January to mid-February. In Hokkaido, Japan, JanuaryโFebruary is peak powder season.
How long does it take to learn?
Most skiers can link turns down a green run within 1โ2 days. Snowboarders typically need 3โ5 days to get past the beginner stage.
